Mountain Biking and Girls Scouts.

Each year Southwest Trekking is proud to participate in outings for local young ladies that are Girl Scouts. This year we were fortunate enough to have 19 girls with us. We traveled by van to Gardner Canyon where we experienced what we thought were perfect conditions. Sunny, warm and dry, we thought. Off down the road towards the inner canyon and Mount Wrightston, Soon, all to soon, we came upon snow on the road and ice, mixed with water, that made, well, mud. John and Carly were trying to instruct the girls about riding in these conditions and the first one to go down was John, Southwest Trekking’s lead guide and owner. Smack into the mud, full body. The girls really enjoyed seeing John covered in mud and embarrassed, to say the least. All had a great time, all were covered in mud. Southwest Trekking will continue to offer support to such agencies that believe in the children of the community.
